The Romanian MCIS build eComunitate to help rural communities better communicate among themselves and to present better themselves to outside visitors.
The challenges
The biggest challenge was to design the site for the two main user groups: the locals and the visitors. The locals needed a clean interface to facilitate interaction between them. The rest of the visitors needed succinct information about different communities.
The palette
Vibrant and friendly were the main attributes needed for the palette. The selected colors remind of the red, yellow and blue, the Romanian flag colors, without blatantly point them out.
The identity
The logo is a tree with different color leaves. The trunk stands for the country which supports the communities - the leaves. Although distinct leaves have the same substance in their core.
